PROTO CULTURE is the story of two government agents who live together and like to not do their jobs. The strip follows Special Agent Bob and Secret Agent Steve, two pop culture obsessed man-children who work for top secret government agency C.L.A.Y.M.O.R.E. (an acronym which here means Classified Liason Agency of Yacht Monitering and Other Ridiculous Espionages), and their various musings on pop culture, movies, comic books, (sometimes) politics, and other miscellany and hodge-podge.

They also sometimes go on missions or whatever.

This all began as a series of comic strips that a young dweeby kid who liked to tell jokes about Batman used to make in his middle school classes. Then, in 2012, this young dweeb was a sophomore in high school and started making them on MS Paint and put them on the internet, despite the fact that he was 1,000% awful at using MS Paint (a result of a lifetime of cartooning exclusively by hand and only using art programs to draw unsolicited phalluses during computer lab). The comic was updated sporadically, totalling at 17 strips over the course of two years, before being abandoned completely.

Then, in October 2014, this young dweeb graduated and became an adult dweeb with alot of time on his hands, so he went back and rebooted it with his much-improved art skills and superior work ethic. The high school strips are still canon, but their quality is... erm, diverse, and it's not required to read anything before the 2014 reboot strip.

PROTO CULTURE updates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

QUICK GUIDELINES FOR COMMENTING:

I don't pre-approve the comments, so any comment will be posted automatically, but I do flip through and check them on a semi-regular basis. I typically haven't encountered any problems (yet), but I feel it's best to set up some ground rules.

1). No racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, or bigotry in any form; save that shit for Enclyclopedia Dramatica entries. Seriously, don't be that guy.

2). If you think a particular strip is offensive in any way, please, leave a comment and tell me. I like to consider myself a progressive lil' liberal, but I am a white man, and even the greatest of white men have been prone to ignorance at one time or another. My only request is that you be civil. Any offense is unintended and comes out of ignorance rather than hate, so please extend me the same courtesy; I want to be educated, not insulted.

3). This extends to criticism, too. If you think a strip is particularly sucky or poorly drawn, by all means, leave a comment and tell me. But make sure it's constructive criticism, not "That streetlight looks like shit, pls kill urself".

4). Any death threat or rape threat will result in a delete and a perma-ban. No exceptions. I don't care if it's a joke; this isn't a middle school bathroom stall.

5). Don't be shy! I tend to be pretty active in comments, so by all means, strike up a discussion.
